(Dandavats.com) – Prime Minister of India – Janmastami Message to Iskcon

The auspicious festival of Krishna Janmashtami holds a distinct place in our socio-cultural ethos. It also holds a special place among various celebrations of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) not just within the country, but across the world.

What is particularly heart-warming to note is that this year’s Janmashtami celebrations become even more special, as ISKCON observes the golden jubilee celebrations of the installation of Sri Sri Radha Parthasarthi Ji. Greetings and heartiest congratulations to every member of the ISKCON fraternity, as they celebrate both occasions with devotion and fervour.

The festival of Janmashtami is an occasion for the devotees to immerse themselves in deep contemplation of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and worship Him with a pure heart. The celebrations also present an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the spiritual wisdom and divine teachings imparted by Him for the larger benefit of the world.

ISKCON attracts large gatherings of people to its temples within India and globally on Krishna Janmashtami. Devotees unite by transcending social divides to celebrate the festival and recall the pearls of wisdom enshrined in Srimad Bhagavadgita, which imparts valuable lessons on how to serve the world and the people.

For the last several decades, the organisation has done commendable work in taking the divine message of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and in spreading Indian culture. The celebrations in hundreds of ISKCON temples are infused with a spirit of community service.

Through various events organized at the celebrations, ISKCON not only recalls Lord Krishna’s divine form, but also spreads the message of compassion, brotherhood and spiritual enlightenment to people across the world.

Heartiest congratulations once again to members of the ISKCON family on the occasion of Janmashtami. May the devotees and followers get seeped in the spirit of Krishna consciousness.
