FFLV bids farewell to 12th grade graduates
Food For Life Vrindavan (FFLV), a nonprofit organization and school, was formed 30 years ago by the founders to educate young girls in and around Vrindavan, India. It provides free education, skill training, and medical assistance to around 1,500 girls. The organization also provides free meal programs and teaches organic farming regularly.
FFLV just finished running the Rise Against Hunger campaign. The program successfully donated 1,800 food packets to school children; the majority of children who received the meals were from very low-income families.
Food For Life Vrindavan (FFLV) recently had a series of events on its premises at Vrindavan. Rupa Raghunath Das, the founder, and CEO of FFLV, was pleased to bid farewell to its current outgoing batch of students graduating from the Sandipani Muni School at FFLV. He wished all the girls a very successful life ahead.
Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, a guest at the graduation event, said, “I feel very proud to have visited this school. This school not only provides education to the girls from the backward sections of our society but also provides all the other facilities free of cost.”
One of the ways that people can get involved with FFLV is through child sponsorship. Their website showcases several students who have benefited immensely from this endeavor. One such example is Gopi, now an intern in the media department at the Food For Life Office. She was only four years old when she joined the Sandipani Muni School. Today, she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce and takes responsibility for the support of her family.
