ISKCON Kherson Temple is returned to the devotees

On the 12th June 2023 one devotee, Bhakta Max moved back into the ISKCON Kherson Temple. His mission is Biblical, he has to clean up over two tonnes of rubbish and restore the Temple to its former glory. Max is from Kherson and is in no illusion about the dangers of material existence — padam padam yad vipadam

Over a year ago the devotees had to leave their beloved Temple due to the war. Soldiers from the Russian Army occupied the Temple and used it as their base. The war has raged in Kherson since the beginning and most devotees have moved out and taken their families to safer locations. In Kherson there are no air raid sirens like the other cities because the bombing is constant.

Bhakta Vasily and Nama Kripa Prabhu and team have kept the Prasad
Distribution going by moving into an unfurnished house/ temple that had a dry swimming pool, which is now the kitchen and courageously kept the mission alive and flourishing.

They are daily joined by a strong Kirtan party as they distribute Prasad to desperate people in a war torn city.
